Sanders are incredibly versatile tools that can be used to complete a range of different projects. Easy to use and very durable, our sanders come from some of the top brands in the industry. The sanders we stock are guaranteed to provide a professional smooth finish on an array of different materials, with a select few models designed for finer detailing work.

If you’re purchasing a sander for the first time, you will need to choose between a corded and cordless sander. The rule of thumb – as with most power tools – is that a corded sander is more powerful whilst a cordless sander will be slightly less powerful but allow for more range and portability. Which of these is more important is down to your personal preferences and requirements.

When operating a sander, it is down to you to decide which grade of sandpaper is most likely to provide you with the results you’re looking for. Most sanders come with a selection of sandpaper, but this won’t last more than a few projects before it has been smoothed out beyond use.

At this point, you will need to find more sandpaper. Different grades (normally ranging from 40 – 440, coarse to extra fine) will be better suited for difference applications, with coarse paper better for rough shaping and fine paper for finishing.
