Hinged Shower Doors

Hinged shower doors are the other main door type, and function in much the same way as everyday doors on both outside and the inside of your home. They are usually considerably slimmer and lighter than these doors but are much better-suited to the near-constant damp and humidity that bathrooms tend to face when a shower is present. This is reflected in their size, and the materials from which they tend to be made.

Hinged shower doors are suited to showers large and small and tend to be much more versatile than their sliding counterparts. There are plenty of models and styles to choose from, with a select number of products specifically styled to suit certain showers, while others can be used on a range of different makes. To ensure optimal compatibility, however, be sure to purchase the door from the same brand name that created your shower.

While not as difficult to install as sliding doors due to the lack of rails, hinged shower doors may still be challenging when it comes to installation process, especially if you are relatively new to DIY and/or interior decorating. As such you may want to contact a professional, or at the very least have an extra pair of hands at the ready to help you complete the trickier stages of the installation process.
