Hip Tiles

Hip tiles are very similar to standard tiles and ridge tiles, and you often see both hip and ridge tiles grouped together. This is because they serve similar purposes but on different parts of your roof. Hip tiles in particular are designed for corners – or hips – of your roof. At these corners, they can be placed one on top of the other, creating a unique and visually appealing pattern that really compliments the overall roof.

The benefits of hip tiles reach far beyond aesthetics, however. Much like ridge tiles, hip tiles are incredibly important when it comes to ensuring the security and efficiency of your roof. Hip tiles help to control water run-off and are usually effective in supporting ventilation processes. They are installed in a similar – if slightly different – fashion to standard roof tiles, and as such can be applied to your roof by professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike.
