Single Bowl Sinks

Single bowl sinks have been specifically designed for smaller kitchens, and more often than not come with an attached drainer section for you to leave your washing up to dry out before being returned to storage. They are excellent sinks that pack a great deal of practicality into often small sizes, making them excellent choices for sink installations within smaller homes as well as candidates for secondary sink installations.

Many of the draws of stainless-steel sinks can be found in single-bowl sinks because – more often than not – these sinks are made from the same material. Meaning they share the same excellent stain resistance and durability.

As they share many of the benefits, stainless steel and single bowl sinks also tend to share some of the faults, including a reputation for ‘cut and paste’ kitchen interiors. However, the practicality of these sinks cannot be denied, often supplied with taps to make for quick and easy installations.

These sinks have even been utilised alongside other sink types in larger kitchens, serving as a more ‘heavy duty’ alternative alongside the more appealing companion sink. A common practice is to have a larger ceramic sink within the kitchen space – usually as a centrepiece utility – while having a smaller single bowl sink for duties such as washing up or liquid disposal.
