These pipes are designed to achieve flexibility in ways that standard fittings are incapable of replicating. It makes it ideal for use in several more compact areas of your bathroom or kitchen. They are mainly designed to connect outlets to odd angles and offsets, which makes them invaluable in more complex pipe systems and layouts. Flexible fittings are compatible with several other common pipe segments, especially if both components have been constructed by the same manufacturer.

Most flexible fittings have been constructed using polypropylene, a hardy material that is used in the construction of many pipe components. It is a relatively new material, and vastly superior to many past alternatives for a wide array of reasons. Flexible fittings are incredibly versatile and will suit the majority of kitchen and bathroom pipe systems.

Installing Flexible Fittings

As with other fittings, these flexible components are not difficult to install on their own. However, plumbing is a complicated process, and for those with little or no experience it can be extremely challenging, with the risks of damaging your pipes, your appliances or even your home often outweighing the benefits of saving on professional labour costs. This is why we encourage those who are unfamiliar with plumbing to contact an expert before partaking in any projects, especially if it’s a brand-new system that is being built.
