Chimney Cowls

Chimney cowls are some of our most popular chimney products, simply because they are so useful on a chimney no matter the status of its operation. The cowl is designed to feature a hood-like addition that works to increase a chimney’s draft. In turn, this prevents backflow and encourages smoke upwards and out of the chimney itself. They are incredibly useful accessories that – when installed properly – offer many valuable benefits.

Our cowls are mostly made of galvanised iron and can be securely fitted to your chimney to ensure they are not uprooted by the wind or curious birds looking to build their nests. Chimney caps – as they are also known – are very efficient when it comes to keeping out a range of wildlife, and ensuring your chimney continues to operate smoothly over a long period of time. They can be installed by DIY enthusiasts, but it is much safer to consult an expert given the height at which they need to be installed.
